The best time to go is during the opera season, between October and May. Performances are held on Saturday nights and reservations for both the show and the hotel are a good idea as the 125-seat theater does sell out and the 12-room hotel fills up.

GETTING THERE

Death Valley Junction is located about 92 miles from Las Vegas, and thirty miles from the closest towns, Pahrump, NV and Shoshone, CA.

From the Bay Area:
Take I-580 E to CA-99 S towards Bakersfield. Then take CA-58 E to Barstow. Pick up CA-15 N to Baker and go North on 127 to Death Valley Junction.

From the Las Vegas airport:
Take I-15 N to I-95 N towards Indian Springs. Then take NV-373 W at Amargosa Valley. The highway turns into CA-127 to Death Valley Junction.
